Which format should you pick?

  1. PNG: lossless and keeps transparency - best for logos, screenshots and anything you will edit further.
  2. JPG: opens literally everywhere and is smaller - best for photos and sharing.
  3. WebP: great for websites, but many desktop apps, Office and older software still can't open it - that's why you're here.

FAQ

Will converting lose quality?

Converting to PNG is fully lossless. Converting to JPG is lossy, but at the default high quality setting (0.92) you won't see a difference.

What happens to transparency when converting to JPG?

JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white. Pick PNG if you need to keep transparency.

Is my image uploaded to a server?

No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser using the canvas API. Your image never leaves your device.
